According to the Owner Prasad: “Wasan had “intentionally and deliberately shared only his and his family/friends bank details and mobile numbers with the donors and collected a huge amount of donation through different mode of payments.
The owner of Baba Ka Dhaba Kanta Prasad has lodged a complaint against the social media influencer who helped him shoot to fame overnight. Prasad last month was trending all over the internet for his barely visited eatery in New Delhi with the help of a Youtuber/Social media influencer.
Atul Kumar Thakur, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) revealed: “We received the complaint yesterday at the Malviya Nagar Police Station and the matter is being probed. No FIR has been registered yet in the case.”
Kanta Prasad in his complaint said that Youtuber Gaurav Wasan recorded and utilised their videos to lure in money under the pretence of donations which were supposed to go towards the old couple. He misused the funds donated by the people online and did not send it to them. He reportedly shared his family and friends bank accounts with Prasad being oblivious to collect the funds.
‘Baba Ka Dhaba’s trials and tribulations had come under the spotlight after a video of the elderly couple went viral overnight. The video showcased the man crying his heart out due to the lockdown awfully affecting their business of an eatery.
