Rhea Chakraborty filed a complaint against Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters in which she accused them of preparing a “fake” prescription of medicines and anxiety for him. Mumbai Police registered the FIR last month and transferred the case to the CBI.
Rhea Chakraborty knew about the chats since June 8 and she did not take up the issue on any platform till September 7. The CBI also stated that the Mumbai police had an option to conduct a preliminary examination, but they chose to go ahead with the FIR.
As a response to these complaints filed by Rhea, the CBI said that Mumbai Police’s decision to even file the FIR was “total disregard to the law” as two FIRs for the same case cannot be filed and the CBI is already investigating the case.
In reply to Rhea’s FIR, Sushant Singh Rajput’s sisters took to Bombay High Court with their lawyer Madhav Thorat and said that Rhea’s complaint is an afterthought and filed just to meander with the investigation. To this Rhea said that it is absurd to even suggest that she complained against the sisters to avoid the arrest. To this the CBI replied that Rhea’s this statement after 90 days creates a serious doubt on credibility of her statements.
The CBI also stated that the present FIR is in complete disregard to the law and late actor’s death as the Mumbai police and Rhea Chakraborty, both were well aware of the fact that an FIR has already been filed by the Patna Police, therefore the registration of another FIR on same facts was neither warranted nor allowed under the law.
The reports say that CBI is conducting the entire investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death very professionally and meticulously without being disturbed by any external factor. The recent complaint filed by Rhea is full of facts and guesses. The next hearing of the case is on November 4.
