Union Minister Pralhad Joshi Tests Positive for COVID-19 virus

The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Coals and Mines, Pralhad Joshi had tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. The Union Minister tweeted, “I have tested positive for Covid-19.”

The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Coals and Mines, Pralhad Joshi had tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday 7th October. According to the Union Minister, He is asymptomatic and is under home quarantine.

The Minister tweeted out on Wednesday: “I have tested positive for Covid-19. As I am asymptomatic, as per doctor’s advice I am in home quarantine.”

During the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Joshi, a Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency MP, played a significantly important role in the conduct of the recent Monsoon Session of Parliament in as the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs.

Joshi is the latest individual from the list of well renowned politicians who have tested positive for the coronavirus. As of now, most of them are either completely recovered from the virus or are yet actively recovering from the illness. Politicians such as Home Minister Amit Shah, Karnataka chief minister BS Yediyurappa, Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah, and many other ministers in the state cabinet and a number of legislators have tested positive for the COVID-19 disease.

The state cabinet has also been hit with demise of several ministers such as Belagavi BJP MP and former Union Minister of State for Railways, Suresh Angadi, BJP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Gasti, and Basavakalyan Congress MLA B Narayan Rao to the illness. (Source: IndiaToday)
