The Boeing 777-300 ER ‘Air India One’ plane is equivalent to planes like the Boeing 747-200B ‘Air Force One’. It is now equipped with conference rooms, (LAIRCM) self-protection suites (SPS) and many more futuristic features.
The latest modified version of the ‘Air India One’ has been making headlines for all the right reasons. The majestic plane jet has been changed in ways that it now presents a neat, pristine and elegant vessel for transporting the National leaders. Leaders like the Prime Minister, President and Vice President will be allowed to travel in the gem of an aircraft.
The planes were ordered by the Indian Government from the Fort Worth, Texas, USA. So far one of the Two retrofitted Boeing 777-300 ER aeroplane reached the Delhi airport on Thursday afternoon. The delivery was late due to the ongoing pandemic and Hence arrived in October rather than July. But Nevertheless, the plane was worth the wait.
This aircraft will now replace the former B747 aircraft used to transport Indian leaders so far. Air India One now functions as a full-fledged office space if required. The plane is resembles the ‘Air Force One’ which is the official aircraft of the President of the United States,
The Boeing 777-300 ER stands equal with the best aerial security in the world with planes like the Boeing 747-200B ‘Air Force One’. It presents a VVIP suite, two conference rooms, a press briefing room, a medical room and secure communications system, with jammers.
The secured and envious aircraft can now detect missiles. It is also loaded with trailblazing missile defence systems, countermeasures dispensing defence systems, including large aircraft infrared countermeasures (LAIRCM) self-protection suites (SPS). The aircraft also has air-to-air refuelling facility.
The aircraft is also highly capable of launching a counter-offensive attack to defend itself. The Boeing 777 has the in-built ability to jam suspicious radar frequencies.
The initial operations will be done by pilots from the Indian Air Force(IAF) along with Air India pilots for now. Several aviation lovers seem well excited for the full functioning of the plane.
