Last Friday,Five civilians from India-China border at Arunachal Pradesh went missing.The five youths have now been found at China border.
“China’s PLA has responded to the hotline message sent by the Indian Army. They have confirmed that the missing youth from Arunachal Pradesh have been found by their side. Further modalities to handover the persons to our authority are being worked out,” the minister said
China’s Union Minister Kiren Rijiju made announcement on twitter.
Five men who went missing have been identified as Toch Singkam, Prasat Ringling, Dongtu Ebiya, Tanu Baker and Ngaru Diri.
These men belong to Nacho area of Upper Subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh. They were working as guides and porters for Indian Army. They were a part seven-member group but went missing reportedly from Sera-7 on the Indian side of the McMohan line bifurcating Arunachal Pradesh and Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
Their family informed on Social media that they were missing on last friday.
However, two men from the seven people group managed to escape and informed their families that they have been taken away by Chinese troops from Sera-7 (an Army patrol zone located about 12 km further north of Nacho).
Thus,Indian Army sent a hotline message to the PLA establishment at the border point in Arunachal Pradesh to which the Union Minister Kiren Rijiju replied on Sunday.
