Last week, Government banned 118 Chinese apps including PUBG in India. Recently, PUBG corporation has decided to take over PUBG mobile and PUBG mobile lite from Tencent Games in India.
However, The gaming community was upset over the move. The company has announced in a statement on Monday that they are about to take over all its publishing responsibilities within the country.
The tencent that is the publisher of PUBG Mobile said it would engage with Indian authorities to ensure the continued availability of its apps in India.
“Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country,” the company said in the statement on its website. “As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localised and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.”
Notably, PUBG corporation is a South Korea based video game company. The company is a developer as well as a publisher of PUBG for PC and Console gamers. Only PUBG mobile and PUBG Lite was handled in a collaboration between PUBG Corporation and Tencent Games.

In light of recent developments, PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG Mobile franchise to Tencent Games in India. Moving forward, PUBG Corporation will take on all publishing responsibilities within the country. As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.
