Cricketer Suresh Raina’s family had been attacked by the infamous, “Kale Kacchewale gang” in Pathankot. The victim has been identified as Ashok Kumar, who is a government contractor by profession.
In a series of events, A family was attacked by a gang in Pathankot, Punjab. The family is alleged to be of CSK player, Suresh Raina’s. A 58-year-old man, who is reportedly Suresh Raina’s uncle succumbed to the gunshots. Along with him, four members of his family sustained injuries. The man died while four members of his family sustained injuries allegedly in an encounter with the dacoits.
A senior police official, Senior Superintendent of Police Gulneet Singh Khurana claimed, they can’t confirm if the victims had a kinship with Suresh Raina. The victim has been identified as Ashok Kumar, who is a government contractor by profession. According to police officials, the crime happened at Thariyal village in Punjab’s Pathankot between August 19 and 20 midnight.
Ashok’s elder brother Shyam Lal confirmed that the victim was, in fact, his uncle. Raina is anticipated to visit his family. According to police, three to four members of the infamous “Kale Kachhewala” gang had attacked the family. They initially crashed their house intending to loot. But rather, they went on and murdered Ashok Kumar and terrorized his family members at their house. During the time of the crime, the family was fast asleep on the terrace of their house. The dacoits entered and then attacked the family. Ashok Kumar sustained grave head injuries and passed on the same very night, police said. While Mr Kumar’s 80-year-old mother Satya Devi, his wife Asha Devi, sons Apin and Kuashal sustained injuries, police said.
