JeM leader Maulana Masood Azhar has been accused of carrying out the 2019 Pulwama terrorist attack. A chargesheet filed by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) revealed.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has brought back Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) leader to the surface once again. Maulana Masood Azhar was among the 19 people who were allegedly accused. The accusation was in a chargesheet regarding the 2019 Pulwama attack case.
Masood Azhar who was known for the accusation following the infamous hijacking of IC 814 back in December 1999. He was later released. But this time, it doesn’t seems like it. It was seen that an alleged digital pathway for communications and messages clearly established a connection between Azhar and Abdul Rauf Zargar(his sibling) with others accused. They directed and carried out the Pulwama terror strike in 2019. 40 CRPF personnel were martyred in February 2019.
Undeniable evidence mentioned by the NIA in 13,800-page charge-sheet proved that Masood Azhar was the mastermind behind the Pulwama terror attack. Chargesheet cites a ‘vitriolic’ video of Masood Azhar condemning the killing of his nephew Usman Haider in Tral in 2018. He had pressured local Kashmiri boys to come and avenge his Nephew’s death with shahadat.
The chargesheet was filed against them at the NIA Special Court at Jammu. The chargesheet was quick to reveal the Jaish conspiracy. Details of how the explosives were procured, the identity of the militants and their associates who assisted them in carrying out the attack was also revealed. (Source: TheTribune)
“Masood Azhar and his kin used to guide the Jaish commander from Pakistan. The investigation has revealed that the Pakistan-based JeM leadership consisting of Masood Azhar, Rouf Asgar and Ammar Alvi alias Chacha aka Chota Masood were continuously giving directions and guidance to the Pakistani JeM terrorists (who had infiltrated into India) both before and after the attack”.(Quoted and sourced from: TimesNowNews)
