According to Madhya Pradesh’s chief minister, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, local youth of the state will now be given preference in government jobs for the state of M.P . “ It is our duty to be concerned about the youths of our state at a time when job opportunities are scarce”, he added.
This came after the BJP leader was addressing an Independence Day function at the Motilal Nehru Stadium, Bhopal. Mr. Chauhan said that his government will work towards the development of skills amongst the state’s youth. A skill development park worth Rs. 600 crores were being set up for the same purpose.
According to Mr. Chauhan, 15 lakh migrant labourers of Madhya Pradesh returned to the state during the Covid-19 lockdown and his government has prepared job cards of 14 lakh migrants to provide them employment. In his address, Mr. Chauhan also reiterated that the state government will fight the case which favours increasing reservation of other backward classes (OBC) from 14 to 27%. Madhya Pradesh’s CM, also highlighted how his government was working to put adequate arrangements for testing Covid-19 cases.
