Indore Crusted With the Demise of noble poet Rahat Indori

Rahat Indori whose real name is Rahat Qureshi was born on 1 January 1950. He did his schooling from Nutan School Indore from where he completed his Higher Secondary.

He completed his graduation from Islamia Karimia College, Indore in 1973, and has passed his M.A in Urdu literature from Barkatullah University Bhopal in Indore in 1975. Poet was also a good cook and fond of non-veg. Rahat was famous as a cheerful personality.

Indori was awarded a Ph.D. in Urdu Literature from the Bhoj University of Madhya Pradesh in 1985 for his thesis titled Urdu Main Mushaira. He also worked as professor and painter; he is the jack of all trades

His career as Poet
Poet was also invited to reality shows many times. For Instance, ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ and also on Wah! Wah! Kya Baat Hai! . Rahat almost visited all the districts of India . He also went to foreign countries for his Kavi Sammelan sammelan and mushaira. Moreover,his poem also got viral on TikTok titled “Bulati Hai Magar Jaane Ka Nahi”. Qureshi also worked as lyricist for infamous Bollywood films such as Kareeb, Munna Bhai M.B.B.S and Mission Kashmir and so on.

The Poet died on 11 August 2020 in a hospital from cardiac arrest. He tested positive for infection with Corona Virus just a night before his death. Rahat Qureshi left the world with his legacy which is the priceless heritage of our country.
