Rajasthan Political crisis solved?: Congress forms a committee to hear Sachin Pilot’s grievances

Congress’s Sachin Pilot is back in Rajasthan after ending his two-month-long revolt against Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot. INC efforts to bring back Pilot and other 18 rebel MLA have gained positive results. Congress said that Rahul Gandhi and Sachin Pilot had a “Frank, open and conclusive discussion”. According to the party, Sachin Pilot met Rahul Gandhi and “conveyed his grievances”.

“Congress President Sonia Gandhi has decided that the AICC will constitute a three-member committee to address the issues raised by Sachin Pilot, the aggrieved MLA, and arrive at an appropriate resolution thereof”, tweeted, AICC General Secretary, KC Venugopal.

“Sachin pilot has committed to working in the interest of congress party and the congress government in Rajasthan”, the tweet further read.

Mr. Pilot assured that he doesn’t crave for any posts and that the party can take back the position given to him. “ I have only said there should be no vendetta politics against the MLAs who are returning to the fold”.

Mr. Pilot also mentioned that he was “offended and hurt by name-calling”, referring to the remarks made against him by Chief minister, Ashoka Gehlot. Amidst the power struggle, Mr.Gehlot unleashed a personal attack against him calling him “ nikamma and nakara ( useless)”.

If congress chief spokesperson, Randeep Surjewala,  is to be believed then “the political crisis in Rajasthan seems resolved”. Mr.pilot had revolted against the CM after being summoned in allegations of bribing Congress MLA to defect. Going by his statements the party just assured him that rebel MLAs will be heard by a three-member committee.
