Another shocking case of Pakistani Hindu conversion to Islam has now surfaced. After the girls been abducted, continuos practices of Islam conversion followed with the exodus of Hindu and other minorities to India through new CAA policy. Another case of Pakistan’s Sindh province where 102 Hindus have been forcibly accept Islam in the Badin district.
The Hindus performed the rituals awkwardly in supplication to their new, single god, as they prepared to leave their many deities behind them. Their lips stumbled over Arabic phrases which once recited prayers.
This wasn’t the first case from the Badin of Southern Sindh Province. Earlier, dozens of Hindu families were converted in June. Video clips of conversion ceremony went viral across the country with also just finger counting temples being converted to mosques.
Muhammad Aslam Sheikh, Sawan Bheel until June said, “What we are seeking is social status, nothing else.” He adds, “These conversions are becoming very common in poor Hindu communities.”
However, this was the highest mass conversion of all the earlier conversions. Pakistan’s ‘The News’ covers how incidents of kidnappings and forced conversions are on the rise. Pakistan Hindu Council (PHC), a human right body protested against it.
Hindu parliamentarians who attended the protest included, patron-in-chief and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MNA Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, MNA Kheeal Das Kohistani of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), MPA Mangla Sharma of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) and PTI MPA Sanjay Gangwani.
However, Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan said, “Practice of forced conversions un-Islamic” he adds, “Prophet himself had given minorities religious freedom and protected their places of worship.” Although, no strict laws can be seen against it.
One of the protestors said that many Hindu families are afraid to send their daughters to educational institutions. He adds, “We raise the question of why it is that only young Hindu girls were inspired to embrace Islam. Why don’t we find older Hindus doing the same?”
