Rhea Chakraborty came to Enforcement Directorate office in Mumbai for questioning regarding money laundering case related to Sushant’s case after ED rejected her plea to the postponement of the summon.
“Rhea Chakraborty is a law-abiding citizen. In view of the fact that ED has informed the media that the request to postpone the attendance is rejected, she has appeared in the ED at the appointed time and date,” said Rhea’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde.
Notably, Rhea Chakraborty had asked for her questioning to be deferred citing an ongoing Supreme Court hearing on her petition.
Not only Rhea but Sushant Singh Rajput’s friend Siddharth Pithani and Rhea’s former Manager Shruti Modi have also been summoned to the agency.
Based on the FIR filed by Sushant Singh Rajput’s Family about Money laundering case that is a ‘controversial transaction’ of 15 Crore rupees, ED wanted to question Rhea.
Whereas, BMC has allowed Bihar police Officer to supervise Sushant’s case as his quarantine period is now over. The officer was quarantined by BMC because he came from another state as a precaution against Covid19.
Sushant Singh Rajput’s sister Shweta Singh Kirti expressed gratitude towards Centre government for transferring the case to CBI, “CBI Enquiry is the answer to the prayers of the whole nation who stood together as a family and kept fighting for justice. I salute each and every one of you #Strengthandunity #GodIsWithUs #SatyamevaJayate #JusticeForSushant @sushantsinghrajput,” Shweta wrote on Instagram.
According to Rhea Chakraborty’s call record She was in contact with Suhant’s staff apart from that Rhea and Sushant’s business manager Shruti Modi spoke 808 times in the last six months.
“Rhea Chakraborty should not run away from probe if she is innocent. She should produce evidence for the same. We are demanding an unbiased investigation into the case. No culprits should be spared,” Niraj Kumar Singh Babloo, BJP MLA & a relative of Sushant Singh Rajput, told ANI.
Rhea Chakraborty, who has denied all charges, had called for a CBI probe earlier but said yesterday “the agency’s investigation at this point will be totally illegal and beyond any known legal principles, affecting the Federal Structure of the Nation.”
