COVID-19 Update: Cases Cross 19 Lakh mark in India

COVID-19 cases all over the world are increasing rapidly. The need of the hour is to take the emergency seriously.

The total number of COVID 19 samples tested up to August 5, is 2,21,49,351 including 6,64,949 samples tested yesterday, says Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), ANI reported.

In the last 24 hours, India recorded 904 new deaths which make thee count of total fatalities over 40,000, and cases of coronavirus have crossed the 19 Lakh mark in total.

India has added over 4 lakh cases in just eight days. With 56,282 cases, today’s fresh cases are the second-highest the country has seen so far.
Whereas, WHO has asked the world youth, “Do they really need to party?”

While the world is amidst a cataclysm, There are people especially youth who is excited about partying. Tired of lockdown, young people in some countries are enjoying summer by gathering for a party.

A haunting thing to know is COVID-19 is taking 1 life every 15 seconds. Nearly, 5,900 people are dying every 24 hours from COVID-19 on an average. According to Reuters calculation based on the last 2 weeks, 247 people are dying every hour.

Globally, worldometer has recorded 18,978,366 COVID-19 cases in total and fatalities have reached to 711,241.
