Benchmark of the Indian equity, Sensex marked the biggest one-day rise since 2009 to 8.97 percent surging to the 2,476 points on Tuesday. The gain in financial stocks led the market to rise. The indices Nifty closed at 8.76 percent higher at 8,792 whereas, Sensex closed at 30,067.
IndusInd Bank became the top gainer of both the indices after reporting a surge in retail deposits and advances on Monday. Reportedly, IndusInd Bank jumped 25 percent higher.
All the 50 constituents of the index ended with green, including Bajaj Finance and Finserv which traded with losses until the final hour of trade. 21 stocks ended with gains of 10 percent and above.
