On Monday, Chattisgarh police marked 16 people in the Korba district for hiding the alleged travel histories to Nizamuddin’s Tablighi Jamaat. This number includes seven minors, as well. Further, the police mentioned that the people in Korba helping these people will also bebooked in the next few days.
Also on April 4, the 16-year-old, who tested positive for the COVID-19 was among the one booked. He was later admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Raipur.
However, the Inspector General of Police of the Bilaspur Zone said, “A 68-year-old person among them attended the congregation at the Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi last month but had not disclosed his visit. He first stayed for a few days in Kamti area of Nagpur and came to Korba along 15 others.” to the Hindustan Times.
To the concerns of the total coronavirus cases in India, the Jamaat headquarters or the Markaz has contributed about 35 percent of the total cases in India across 17 states and other union territories. It has allegedly linked to over 1445 infections so far.
