A 45-y-o adventurer Bear Grylls suffered a life-threatening allergic reaction when the bee stung him. He was in his shoot to far-flung Treasure Island on a Pacific island while the insect struck him during. Treasure Island is supposed to be miles away from civilisation. The scenes are set to be shown next month.
Previously, when the incident took place, Grylls has an allergy to the winged pests went into anaphylactic shock on a boat in a middle of nowhere.
After his eye swelled and began to close up, the medical team administered an EpiPen in saving his life.
“The irony of Bear the survivalist being stung, having the potential of an allergic reaction, and needing to be treated with an EpiPen, was a bizarre moment. That was crazy,” one of the contenders, brain surgeon Mano Shanmuganathan said.
Though suffering another run from bees and insects in 2016, Bear seems to have not learnt to stay away from the same.
